Energy intake and Weight Control

Energy intake plays a critical part in you maintaing a healthy body weight. The daily calorie need of an individual should be decided based upon his/her desirable weight, activity pattern and dietary history.

The ideal ratio of energy intake compositions should
  • 50-60% from carbohydrates
  • 25% from fats
  • 15-20% from protein.

It is important to maintain your body weight close to the ideal weight as far as possible to be healthy.
