Dietary fiber - Miracle food

Dietary fiber is the name given to undigestable carbohydrates present in the food. Fiber adds bulk to the diet and helps you manage your portions. It is mostly found in green leafy vegetables, fruits, sprouts and plant gums.

Having food rich in dietary fiber is also said to have helped in reduction of blood cholestrol level.

Recent studies have shown that gums of fenugreek seeds ( contains 40% gums) is most effective in reducing the blood glucose level in diabetic patients when compared to other gums.

Low fiber diet is also helps with constipation.

Suggested intake is 40g of fiber a day.
